The mushrooming is one of the most popular activities in the area. The ideal territories to find mushrooms are the highest parts of the mountains in areas where insolated but with high humidity.

In the Vall Cardós we can find a variety of both edible and inedible mushrooms, it is important to know what you can eat, in case of doubt better not pick it up. The most prominent are the “Rovelló” the “Cepa”, the “Carrereta” the “Pata de Rata” and “Murga”.

The mushroom season is spring – summer, when temperatures are warm and when there has been rain; between the months of April and September.
